Plek Setup — $355
For those who demand microscopic accuracy, we offer the only Plek Station in Charlotte.
Using laser-guided scanning, the Plek measures your neck and fretwork under full string tension, then machines each fret to within thousandths of an inch. After leveling and crowning, we perform a complete manual setup and play test to ensure unmatched precision and feel.
The result is a setup so consistent and smooth it redefines what "perfect action" feels like.
Ideal for: Professionals, collectors, and serious players who want the ultimate performance
Plek-Cut Bone Nut Replacement — $150
Each replacement nut is made from genuine bone and precision-cut using our Plek Station. The Plek measures the instrument and cuts each nut slot based on the individual guitar’s setup, string gauge and fretboard geometry.
Why bone?
Bone provides excellent durability, tuning stability and string vibration transfer. Combined with the accuracy of the Plek, it allows us to achieve consistent string spacing and precise action at the nut.
Our process:
- Carefully remove the existing nut
- Fit a genuine bone blank to the instrument
- Scan and measure the instrument using the Plek
- Calculate the correct nut-slot depth for each string
- Precision-cut the string slots using the Plek
- Shape and polish the nut for a clean, finished appearance
- Check string spacing, tuning stability and action
- Perform a final playability inspection
Recommended for:
Instruments with worn, chipped, poorly cut or synthetic factory nuts, as well as players looking for improved tuning stability, consistent string height and better overall playability.
Saddle Replacement — $80
Each saddle replacement is hand-crafted from genuine bone and custom-fit to your instrument's bridge for optimal tone and playability.
Unlike factory-molded or synthetic saddles, a hand-cut bone saddle delivers richer resonance, improved sustain, and better string balance — especially on acoustic guitars where tone transfer matters most.
Our technicians shape and contour each saddle by hand to match your guitar's exact radius and action preferences, ensuring precise intonation and a smooth, buzz-free response.
Recommended for: Cracked or worn saddles, or upgrading from synthetic materials to enhance tone, volume, and tuning stability
