Martin Custom Shop 0-18K2 CFM IV – 100 Years of Lacquer Limited Edition
A Century of Martin Craftsmanship. Limited to Just 100 Worldwide.
Celebrating 100 years of Martin's historic transition to lacquer finishes, the 2026 Martin Custom Shop 0-18K2 CFM IV is an extraordinary limited-edition acoustic guitar that combines vintage-inspired craftsmanship, stunning solid flamed koa, and a century of innovation. With just 100 instruments produced worldwide, this exclusive Custom Shop creation is a remarkable tribute to Martin's enduring legacy.
In 1926, C.F. Martin & Co. began adopting lacquer finishes, forever changing the look and feel of its acoustic guitars. A century later, Martin honors that milestone with an instrument inspired by the original all-koa Concert models that helped introduce this finishing technique.
Exquisite Solid Flamed Koa Construction
Built with a beautifully figured solid flamed koa top, back, and sides, the 0-18K2 CFM IV offers exceptional visual character and a distinctive acoustic voice. Koa is prized for its articulate response, focused midrange, and warm, woody character that can develop additional richness as the instrument is played.
The compact 0-size body and traditional 12-fret neck joint deliver an intimate, responsive playing experience ideally suited to fingerstyle playing, delicate picking, and expressive acoustic performances.
Martin's Vintage Gloss finish showcases the dramatic figuring of the koa while recreating the depth and understated elegance of the company's early lacquer-finished instruments.
Vintage Character Meets Custom Shop Precision
Beneath its elegant exterior, the 0-18K2 CFM IV features traditional dovetail neck construction and hand-shaped, GE-scalloped spruce X-bracing designed for exceptional responsiveness and acoustic resonance.
The GE Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper provides a comfortable, refined playing experience. A 24.9-inch scale length, 1 3/4-inch bone nut, and ebony fingerboard offer a balanced combination of traditional feel and modern playability.
Premium appointments include a slotted headstock with flamed koa headplate, vintage-inspired Martin O'ahu script logo, Golden Age Relic Brass tuning machines, abalone fingerboard inlays, and an elegant Old Style 18 rosette.
A True Collector's Edition
Each guitar features a special 100 Years of Lacquer commemorative interior label, complete with a pre-printed C.F. Martin IV signature and its individual production number out of 100.
With its historically inspired construction, rare all-koa design, and extremely limited production, the Martin Custom Shop 0-18K2 CFM IV is an exceptional instrument for dedicated players and Martin collectors alike.
A premium hardshell case is included.
With only 100 examples produced worldwide, this is a rare opportunity to own a distinctive piece of Martin guitar history.
