HDRX 20 Head - Indigo Blue

The PRS HDRX 20 Head delivers the flexibility, power, and harmonic balance of late-1960s British-voiced tube amplifiers — in a player-friendly 20-watt package. Built around the newly documented "Authentic Hendrix" Touring Circuit, this amp head is directly inspired by one of Jimi Hendrix's personal amplifiers, reportedly used at Woodstock, which Paul Reed Smith and PRS Amp Designer Doug Sewell had the rare opportunity to study in 2018.

Engineered to push the high end with clarity rather than harshness, the HDRX 20 delivers singing sustain, aggressive bite, and smooth, sweet clean tones — all from a single set of controls. Two 5881 power tubes provide thick, articulate breakup at lower volumes, making this head ideal for studio recording, rehearsal, and stage use without the need for an external attenuator.
